Are there any side effects with Chinese Herbal Medicine?
No, there are not any harmful side effects if you receive your prescription from a qualified and experienced practitioner.
They must query any medications you are taking to ensure no drug
interaction with the herbal medicine. As practitioners, we do know
there are GOOD side effects from taking herbal medicine such as relief,
symptom reduction or more energy! |

Do you use animal products?It’s becoming more unpopular to use animal products for medicinal purposes especially endangered species- We GUARANTEE WE DO NOT use any endangered species animal products in our herbal formulas. We do, however, use products that come from animals.
Examples include:
Cicada shells- traditionally used to stop fevers, fitting and skin irritations
Abalone and Oyster Shell- traditionally used for sweats, dizziness, insomnia
Special dietary considerations & Allergies: If you are vegetarian, vegan, allergic or for personal reasons do not want to ingest these products please let us know. We will always be upfront with you about what is in the formula you are taking.
What's the difference between Chinese herbs and Naturopathic herbs?Chinese herbs traditionally are prescribed in their raw form- roots, leaves, seeds and bark. Technology now concentrates the pharmacological ingredients from raw herbs and grounds it down into powder or granules that are easily dissolved into water or juice. Dosages are in grams and organised in hierarchical formulas that regard the herb with the highest dose as “Emperor”, followed by general and envoy. This reflects the historical influence of Confucianism on Chinese Medicine and society.
Naturopathic herbs are prescribed in liquids or tinctures.
