After 11 years practice, Katika still is fascinated by Chinese Medicine and its potential. She enjoys helping clients get better, faster by giving them painless acupuncture and herbal medicine to speed the recovery process along.

She has a Health Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine after completing 4 years full time study at UTS. Katika worked with a mentor for 5 years during her studies and early stages of developing her practice. Her experience was broadened further in 2002 when she completed a 6 week internship in China and for that, earned a Certificate of TCM from Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital in Zhejiang Province. She’s currently a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

Katika enjoys treating patients who haven’t had Acupuncture or Chinese herbs before and are apprehensive or anxious about the process. “To see the pleased look on clients faces about how painless it is, along with the relief the client experiences, makes it rewarding.”

Shoulder Injury

I 've had torn cartilage in both shoulders for about 10 years and had a reconstruction on the right shoulder about 8 years ago without much success, not being able to take anti-inflammatory tablets I just put up with the pain. Lower Back Pain

Post-Op Hip Recovery
I am 6 months post recovery from a right hip replacement.  Katika succesfully treated the scar and  acupuncture gave me good pain relief so that I was able to stop taking medication earlier than usual.  This has given me greater range of movement and mobility with virtually no pain - even cycling 200km a week.
